Eagle Scout Benefits
There are 6 ranks to attain to become an Eagle Scout. This is a challenging journey that often can take 3-5 years. Scouts must complete all requirements prior to their 18th birthday. The requirements include outdoor skills, community service, leadership skills, and much more. Once an Eagle Scout you have attained a high honor that is recognized nationally. Government Civil Service, Military Services, and other organizations recognize the commitment and skills attained by Boy Scouts and especially Eagle Scouts and value this in their scholarship, hiring, and promotion processes.
One of our Woodland Park Eagle Scouts who just graduated Woodland Park High School in May 2010 just received a full 4 year Army ROTC Scholarship.
